SOUTH ENDS JAWS 2008 SUMMER SPORTS CAMP! SUMMER 2008 JAWS : June 18th - Agust 31st When school is out get your child involved in the best sports camp program in the South Bay. South End Racquet and Health Club, located at 2800 Skypark, Torrance, California, has been home for this famous camp ever since 1981. The JAWS program features sports, games, arts, crafts and field trips -- ­all carefully supervised by our highly trained staff of counselors. Camp is offered during spring and summer breaks, for children ages 5-13. Our JAWS sports camp is held from 9AM-3PM, Monday through Friday. JAWS counselors provide group activities in swimming, tennis, racquetball and paddle tennis. There are other sports to play too, such as basketball, kids fitness and martial arts. The choices depend on the desires of the group. That's something special about JAWS, the children help shape the program. JAWS isn't just about sports but games and field trips too! There are also arts and crafts, skits and talent shows. JAWS always keeps the children's safety in mind. We've designed our program to have a minimum of one counselor to every eight campers. And for pool safety, lifeguards are on duty. Our JAWS counselors strive to develop character as well as athletic skills. Each week, we give awards for excellence and improvement in all areas. Parents are always welcome to watch the fun. INCLUDED IN THE FEE: Group participation in tennis, swimming, racquetball, basketball, and paddle tennis.
